The Big 25 Awards
The C4ISR Journal has established an annual awards process to honor the extraordinary dedication, innovation and ingenuity that is pushing this community to new frontiers of information sharing and effectiveness. We believe recognizing these achievements is part of our role as the leading source for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and networking news.

The Big 25 Winners
We begin our awards process by maintaining a running list of the year's vital initiatives. We select our Big 25 Winners from that list and highlight their work in a special section of the C4ISR Journal published in October.
We examine work in five categories: Platforms; Sensors; Networks; Agencies and Organizations; and Innovations. Nominations are not mandatory for consideration but they are helpful to our staff.
The Top 5
Once we name the Big 25, a selection committee of C4ISR Journal editors and reporters, and independent experts meets to select an overall winner in each of the five award categories. The competition is intense, and the committee's discussions are often spirited, making the Top 5 Award a coveted distinction within the industry and intelligence agencies.

2009 Big 25 Awards Banquet
When all the selections have been made, we gather the C4ISR community together to publicly honor the Big 25 and announce the Top 5. Members of the industry, military and intelligence agencies are invited to join us for this banquet. The evening will begin with a reception to be followed by dinner, a few words from our editorial staff, and then the big moment: the presentation of the Top 5 awards.
We invite you to bookmark this website for information about the venue and specific dates.
We hope to see you there.
